This Glasshouse Kitchen is both a celebration of innovative cooking and a nod to how our culinary horizons have expanded in the four decades since Cheong Liew OAM first stepped into a professional kitchen.

Joining the Tasting Australia patron will be Mark Best, and Philippe Mouchel, chefs who also draw on diverse culinary influences as they dazzle. Liew began experimenting with flavour in his native Malaysia and achieved legendary status at The Grange in Adelaide. Training the next generation of chefs has always been a crucial part of his work. Best took to the stoves after working as an electrician in the West Australian gold mines. What followed was a stratospheric rise, with his French-inspired food pushing boundaries and earning Sydney's Marque three hats for 10 consecutive years. French is the cuisine of Melbourne-based Mouchel's heritage. He trained with the fabled Paul Bocuse, has worked extensively in Asia and specialises in traditional yet inventive Gallic dishes, at once refined and generous.  Expect an evening in the Glasshouse Kitchen that epitomises the pleasure and possibility of dining in Australia today.  


A Note on Dietary Requirements
Glasshouse Kitchen menus are a convergence of South Australian regional produce at the height of its season. Our array of notable overseas, interstate and local chefs deliver sublime dining experiences, with a curated multi-course set menu. With this comes months of planning. Our cast of culinary stars will each create a unique one-off festival dish, or adapt an iconic signature dish to our local produce. Many of the dishes featured will simply not be suitable, or adaptable for particular dietary requirements by our visiting chefs, as some ingredients are embedded in prior preparations weeks out from the event.

The Glasshouse Kitchen can offer an alternative vegetarian and coeliac menu should it be requested at the time of booking. This menu, however, may not be designed or executed by the visiting chefs.
